Advised Imran to meet Jahangir Tareen, Aleem Khan: Sharaqpuri
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jaleel Ahmed Sharaqpuri on Wednesday accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of not stopping the no-confidence motion against former prime minister Imran Khan.
Speaking to the media, Mr Sharaqpuri, who jumped ship yesterday, said, "I advised Imran Khan to meet former PTI leaders Jahangir Khan Tareen and Abdul Aleem Khan and convince them".
In line with the May 9 vandalism, Mr Sharaqpuri said, "Everyone is under stress after the 9/5 attacks. The rioters involved in the May 9 mayhem should be brought to justice".
On Tuesday, Mr Sharaqpuri decided to leave the PTI following the May 9 mayhem.
Addressing a press conference, Mr Sharaqpuri said, "I cannot work with Imran Khan or PTI at all".
